Sarah Palin's infant reminds me that Jin Shin Jyutsu literature has a treatment for Down's Syndrome. I have never had the opportunity to apply it. The literature calls for daily treatment for six months from birth. The longer after birth the treatment begins, the more extended the treatment period.
My approach would be to begin the treatment on the pregnant mother as soon after diagnosis as practical.
It is a simple treatment that could be taught to the infant's family, which would minimize the cost and other stress.

My personal history with JSJ in Scottsdale
Twenty years ago, my professional opinion as a writer/publisher was that Mary's teaching was being bootlegged because it was insufficiently available through her own office in Scottsdale. I offered to expand her course into two 300-page books for no fee and no royalty - asking for only what I would learn in the process. Mary's son, David, didn't believe there was enough material for such a project and felt that Mary's teaching had to be more tightly restricted, rather than amplified.
David also had no interest in a newsletter for JSJ practitioners that I offered to edit at no charge.
Very soon after, I left the US and have no idea how JSJ has developed. I write now from my experiences then and since, without any connection to JSJ in Scottsdale.

Sex and diet and exercise
Mary Burmeister felt that JSJ contained sufficient material for study and for health, without adding other considerations. From a teaching standpoint, I agree completely.
However, diet and exercise do relate to health.
Mary was also very modest in matters relating to sex and, while there is ample material in JSJ concerning all bodily functions, Mary was embarrassed to discuss sex. Sexual energy, as a cause and as an effect, is a reasonable subject of inquiry.
If readers express their interest in these matters to me, I will be pleased to share my insights.
